New album in 2021

The Libras ~ Faded  (Out of the Past Music)

Recorded largely in quarantine, "Faded" features many of producer Jason Weinheimer's frequent session collaborators~ this time gathered remotely to back his songs instead of other artists.

With tours cancelled (St. Paul & the Broken Bones, Shelby Lynne, Los Lobos, Amanda Shires), the core group shared tracks from California, Tennessee, Oregon, Louisiana, & New York before Weinheimer mixed the project at his Little Rock studio, Fellowship Hall Sound.

"It was an accidental record," Weinheimer says. "All of my musician friends found themselves suddenly without gigs or sessions, so we started sending tracks back and forth just to pass the time and keep ourselves entertained. The next thing I knew, I had 10 songs that felt like they represented this moment."

"Faded" will be released in January on Out of the Past Music.

A veteran songwriter and performer, Jason Weinheimer has spent the last decade focused on recording and producing albums for other artists at his studio, Fellowship Hall Sound

He has recorded projects by John Moreland, Hayes Carll, Shinyribs, John Fullbright, Jesse Aycock, Pony Bradshaw, and Jim Mize, among many others.

In addition to his studio work, he plays bass in a few bands, most notably Shelby Lynne and Allison Moorer.

His first solo album “Skies Are Grey” was released in 2016 under the name The Libras.
